Setif, Setifis or Azdif – the black earth – Capital of the highlands, a multi-faceted city. A place of passage and an essential crossroads linking the East and West of the country. Located 300 km from Algiers, with an area of 6549.64 km and at an altitude of 1100m above the level of the sea, it is close to Béjaïa and Jijel from the north, M’Sila and Batna from the south, Mila to the east and west by Borj Bou Arréridj. Composed of 60 municipalities divided into 20 daïras.
