Extending over the wilayas of Setif, Bejaia and Jijel, the territory of Babor-Tababort is classified as a protected area in the category of national park, through an executive decree No. 19-147 dated April 29, 2019, published in the Official Gazette No. 30 of May 8. The now National Park Babor-Tababort, which contains an ecosystem very rich in animal and plant species, covers a total area of 23 656 hectares, spread over the wilayas of Setif (11 909 ha), Bejaia (7 478 ha) and Jijel (4 269 ha)
